Endgame Guide

Shadow Dungeon’s published endgame starts when the seven-chapter story is done. Version 1.0 (August 26, 2026) tunes the campaign to about 30–50 hours so you hit roughly level 99–100 at the credits. Max level is 100, then Paragon levels and the Paragon Talent Tree. Greater Rifts unlock after the main story on Normal, Master, Nightmare, and Inferno. Mystic Dungeon Challenges are a separate named store feature. Live patch 1.0.1 (August 27) did not add a fifth rift tier or a season.

There is no seasonal reset and no microtransaction catch-up. Items you earned in the story stay. Community 1.0 coverage such as myst’s sets, Paragon, and scarecrow/sprite video is useful for seeing post-campaign systems. This page will not invent rift keys or a battle pass.

Order of operations

  1. Finish the story maps (Chapters) and the Demon Lord fight. Drops still follow the map even in hell biomes (Leveling).
  2. Spend leftover class points across your three trees, then start Paragon (Hybrid Builds).
  3. Open Greater Rifts. Higher difficulties improve rare chances and weapon affix rolls.
  4. Socket rift-exclusive runes and enhancement: 370 talent skill runes, 6,800 equipment skill runes, 60 attribute runes, stones, Golden Hammer, Divine Mirror.
  5. Use Treasure Sprites so Inferno floors do not bury you in junk. 1.0.1 sped fairies and fixed auto-salvage.
  6. Treat Mystic Dungeon as its own challenge list, not a fifth Greater Rift color.

What endgame is for

The store pitch is a game you can play for years without a season wiping the stash. Inventory and Stash has unlimited warehouse pages for that collector loop. Fifteen armor sets per class and skill-grant loot keep builds moving without a new class. Future classes on the roadmap (Assassin, Engineer, Barbarian, Warlock) are undated.

The DPS Tester helps when a rift build depends on being hit. Steam Deck players should be on 1.0.1 for pad recognition and extra resolutions before pushing Inferno.

What endgame is not

  • Not co-op. No group rift.
  • Not a code event (Codes).
  • Not Tower Defense — that is planned, separate from Mystic Dungeon.
  • Not a nerf patch that weakens your legendaries. Official copy says the opposite.

Inferno without a season ladder

Higher Greater Rift difficulties improve rare odds and affix rolls. That is the published reason to push Inferno, not a weekly leaderboard. You keep legendaries, Paragon, and warehouse pages. If a future class arrives, it is extra, not a wipe. Finish chapters first so rifts actually unlock.

Pick one of the four launch classes and mix its three trees. Gear that grants extra skills is how 1.0 wants you to mutate after 100. Official class showcases live on OO Cat’s channel. Pair this page with Talent Trees so you do not invent node names while you farm Inferno, and with Farming so you do not overlevel a map that cannot drop the next set piece.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about Shadow Dungeon.

When does Shadow Dungeon endgame start?

After you finish the main story. Greater Rifts unlock then. Paragon starts at the level 100 cap, which 1.0 aims to hit around story end.

What are the Greater Rift difficulties?

Normal, Master, Nightmare, and Inferno. Higher difficulties improve rare odds and affix rolls. 1.0.1 did not add a fifth tier.

Is there a season or battle pass?

No. No seasonal resets, no MTX, no published battle pass. Loot stays.

Should I Paragon or rift first?

You need the story done for rifts and level 100 for Paragon. 1.0 aims for both near the credits. Then do both: rifts for loot, Paragon for attributes.

Is Mystic Dungeon the endgame?

It is a named 1.0 challenge feature alongside Greater Rifts. This wiki does not collapse them into one ladder or invent shared modifiers.
