Shadow Dungeon Roadmap and Future Content
Announced systems with no calendar. 1.0 already shipped a large rune pool.
OO Cat lists planned future content on the Steam store. No dates are attached. Treat the list as intent, not a 2026 quarter plan and not a paid expansion. Version 1.0 launched August 26, 2026; 1.0.1 on August 27 is a bug-fix, not a roadmap drop. OO Cat’s full game is live video marks the 1.0 ship, not a DLC trailer.
This wiki will not invent prices, beta keys, or class-release order. When Steam news names a patch, it will land on the Updates Hub and a child page.
Four new classes (not in 1.0)
Store line: Assassin, Engineer, Barbarian, Warlock. Launch classes remain Sorcerer, Holy Warrior, Archer, Necromancer. You cannot roll the future four today. You cannot class-change into them later until OO Cat says so. See Builds for what exists.
Launch coverage (InsertCoins, Notebookcheck, IXBT) repeated assassin and barbarian as examples. Engineer and Warlock are on the same store bullet. None of those articles published kits. Do not theorycraft stealth meters or turret DPS as if they shipped.
Mercenary system
Listed as future. The game is single-player now. Mercenaries are not co-op partners and not a published hire UI. Do not assume they replace Necromancer summons.
Tower Defense challenges
Listed as future. Mystic Dungeon Challenges already exist as a named 1.0 store feature. Do not merge those names. Tower Defense is extra, undated.
Rune system (store vs 1.0 notes)
The store still lists Rune system under planned content. The 1.0 news post already shipped a huge rift-exclusive rune pool: 370 talent skill runes, 6,800 equipment skill runes, 60 attribute runes, plus socketing stones, super enhancement stones, essence stones, permanent magic stones, Golden Hammer, and Divine Mirror. Read Runes and Enhancement. The roadmap line is further rune work, not “runes do not exist yet.”
Transmutation and Crafting
Listed as future. Reforging, Enchanting & Enhancement already shipped in 1.0 (Reforging and Enchanting). Do not skip the live craft pair while waiting for transmutation.
What already counts as the live loop
Seven chapters, 160 maps, Greater Rifts (Normal–Inferno), Treasure Sprites, Paragon after 100, fifteen sets per class, unlimited skill points, no MTX, no seasons. Full Release is the 1.0 checklist. Patch 1.0.1 is the hotfix. Update 0.4.0 is demo-era history.

How this wiki will handle future drops
When Assassin, Engineer, Barbarian, or Warlock ships, they get class pages under Builds and a dated child under the Updates Hub. Mercenary and Tower Defense get their own pages only after Steam news names how they work. Until then, play the four launch classes, Paragon, and endgame.
Do not sit in the demo hoping 0.4.0 becomes 1.1. Do not skip Greater Rifts because runes are still listed as planned. Do not skip reforging because transmutation is listed. The live loop already covers the 30–50 hour campaign plus post-story rifts, and 1.0.1 is a hotfix, not a content drop.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about Shadow Dungeon.
When does the Assassin class release in Shadow Dungeon?
No date has been announced. Assassin, Engineer, Barbarian, and Warlock are store roadmap lines only.
Will new classes be free?
The store presents them as future game content, not a cash shop. OO Cat has not published a price. This wiki will not invent one.
Are runes already in the game?
Yes. 1.0 listed hundreds of talent skill runes, thousands of equipment skill runes, and attribute runes as rift-exclusive. The store still lists further rune system work as planned.
Is Tower Defense the same as Mystic Dungeon?
No. Mystic Dungeon Challenges are a 1.0 store feature. Tower Defense is separate planned content with no date.
Did 1.0.1 add any roadmap systems?
No. 1.0.1 is a bug-fix patch (resolutions, controllers, XP, sprites, UI, respec, backpack sort).
