Reforging System

Reforging allows you to reroll the affixes on existing items, potentially improving their quality or changing their properties entirely.

How Reforging Works

Each item can be reforged at the blacksmith or appropriate NPC:

1. Select an item to reforge
2. Pay the reforge cost (scales with item rarity and level)
3. All affixes on the item are randomized
4. You can either accept the new affixes or keep the old ones

The key advantage of reforging over replacing items is that you can target specific affix slots, potentially improving just the affixes you care about while keeping others you want to preserve.

Enchanting allows you to add additional properties to items or enhance existing ones without changing the base affixes.

Enchanting requires various materials gathered from throughout the game:

• Ore — Gathered from mining nodes, used for weapon and armor enchanting
• Essence — Dropped by bosses, used for bonus effect enchanting
• Dust — Generated from breaking down unwanted equipment, used as universal enchanting currency
• Crystals — Rare drops from elite enemies, used for socket enhancement

Prioritize Your Core Items: Enchanting is expensive. Focus enchanting resources on the items you use most rather than spreading investment across many pieces.

Socket Enhancement is Often Best: Adding gem sockets or upgrading existing sockets provides guaranteed value that scales with your gem quality. This is usually the most cost-effective enchanting option.

Save Rare Materials: Some enchanting recipes require rare materials that take significant time to accumulate. Plan your enchanting in advance to ensure you have the materials when you need them.

Combined Optimization Strategy

The most effective approach combines reforging and enchanting:

1. Acquire a good base item with at least some useful affixes
2. Reforge to improve or replace the less useful affixes

Material Farming

Ore Farming

Ore nodes appear throughout all chapters. The highest density of nodes is in Chapter 2 (Ancient Temple) and Chapter 5 (Void Realm). Ore farming is best done between story sessions as a passive activity.

Essence Farming

Essence drops primarily from bosses. Running boss-rich content in Chapter 6-7 is the most efficient essence farming method. Boss rushes in the main menu provide a focused essence farming option.

Dust Farming

Break down all unwanted equipment at the blacksmith. Common and uncommon items provide dust, with rarer items providing significantly more. Always scrap rather than sell white and green items.

Crystal Farming

Crystals drop from elite enemies with increasing rarity in later chapters. The Mystic Dungeon is the best source for crystals due to its high elite density.
